Appointments:

We know you have many choices when selecting a Midland dentist, so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site.  If for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible at (989) 631-9795.  We ask that you notify us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule out of courtesy to patients that may be on our waiting list and to avoid a cancellation fee.  We will contact you 24 to 48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment as a reminder of your scheduled time with us.

Examination - What to expect:

  • Being well prepared for your appointment will ensure that our staff has all the necessary information to provide the best possible care for you.  If you have the desire, you can educate yourself on your symptoms by reviewing the content on our website.  Also, take a moment and review our staff information and familiarize yourself with our professional team.  We look forward to your visit.
  • Dr Sands will perform a comprehensive oral exam and update necessary x-rays.  Depending upon the condition of your mouth, the examination can take up to two hours so please allow for enough time in your busy schedule.  We will also discuss any future treatment as well as schedule a hygiene appointment for a different day.  Occassionally, our schedule allows for a new patient exam and hygiene on the same day for your convienence.

Insurance:

We accept most insurance plans, please contact our office to verify acceptance of your specific plan.  The fee for your initial appointment could possibly be covered at 100% by your insurance company.   Available coverage depends on your year-to-date remaining balance.   In order to verify your insurance coverage, we will need the following information:

  • Name of insurance company
  • Group name and ID number
  • Social Security Number for the primary insured
  • Date of birth for the primary insured

We will provide you with an 'estimated' co-payment amount based on information provided to us.  The co-payment is due at the time of treatment.  This is only an estimate and may have to be altered if benefits do not match expected payments.  If coverage cannot be verified, you will be asked to pay 100% of the charges at the time of your treatment.  Policies vary by insurance company and by employer.  We will do our VERY BEST in working with your insurance company to make certain you receive all your covered benefits each calendar year.   Medicare and Medicaid do not cover dental procedures.

Payment Options:

We accept the following forms of payment:

CareCredit is available (instant approval process) to help you pay for procedures your insurance does not cover.  They offer No Interest* financing or low minimum monthly payment options to assist  you.  For additional information or to apply online, visit carecredit.com.

Please browse the site at your convenience and feel free to contact us with any questions (989) 631-9795.  You will find valuable information on this website regarding dental problems, diagnoses and treatments.  We believe informed patients are better prepared to make decisions about their dental health and well being.  We encourage you to review this information to help you understand any dental concerns you may face.  It is important for our patients to understand that our goal is to preserve their oral health and reduce the cost of their health care through preventive dentistry.
